Last updated: March 24, 2026

ScamSignal ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome Extension handles your information.

1. Data Collection and Usage

When you initiate a scan, the ScamSignal extension extracts the text and header data of the currently active email. This data is transmitted securely to our analysis server strictly for the purpose of detecting signs of spoofing or malicious links.

2. Data Storage and Retention

We do not store your emails. The analysis happens in real-time. Once the server calculates the safety score and returns the alerts to your browser, the email data is immediately discarded from our system.

3. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information or email contents to any outside parties.
